Hotel History
The Commongate
Hotel was originally a pub and one of London's last standing inns
before entering the City of London. It was a Commongate for horse
and coaches travelling into the City of London.
During renovation of the
Hotel a historic slab was discovered with the Print "Commongate Pub"
etched. The Hotel has adopted this name and we are proud to be
carrying on the tradition of being called Commongate Hotel.
